How to get the HSRP number plate for new vehicles?

The implementation of HSRP in Odisha is part of a larger initiative across India to improve vehicle identification and security. The Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has mandated the implementation of HSRP for all new vehicles registered in India from April 1, 2019.

Visit SIAM.in online portal and enter vehicle details

The first step is to visit siam.in the online portal, and enter the below details:

Select your vehicle type and manufacturer

After you submit the above SIAM.in then you will be asked to select the vehicle type below

After the selection of vehicle type, you will be asked to select the vehicle manufacturer details. Select the vehicle manufacturer as per your vehicle.

Select your vehicle make, state , city, and fitment center

In this screen, you have to select the make of the vehicle, your state as Odisha, and the nearest city for you. Please note that the HSRP facility is available in limited cities in Odisha. Please select a city and fitment center where you can physically go and collect the HSRP number plate.

The next screen will ask for your vehicle registration number, address details, city, email address, and contact number( please provide a valid contact number – this mobile number will be used to send you OTP for verification)

Provide the Chassis and Engine number of your vehicle

After the OTP verification from the previous screen, you will be asked to provide the Chassis and Engine number of your vehicle in the below screen:

You can find the Chassis number and Engine number for your vehicle in the registration certificate. In the next screen, you will be asked about Fuel type – Petrol / Diesel, Vehicle Type – Private / Commercial, RTO – in which RTO your vehicle is registered currently. After you have supplied all the information, please click on the ‘Cost Of HSRP’ button.

You will be presented with how much amount you need to pay for your HSRP number plate.

Select the appointment date for the HSRP number plate registration

In the next screen, you will be presented with available slots for the appointment. Please select a date that is convenient for you. You can then proceed with payment.

Make Payment

In the next screen, you will be able to make payment for your HSRP number plate.

After the successful payment, you will receive a message on your mobile and an email your email address about your appointment confirmation.

In 2022, the Indian Ministry of Road Transport and Highways has established a prize for High Security Number Plates. The Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), a non-profit organization, has set the prices for the plates in Odisha under the ministry’s guidelines.
