The Shri Jagannath Circuit Train, operated by IRCTC’s Bharat Gaurav Train, will embark on a sacred journey from January 25th to February 1st, 2023, visiting prominent temples in pilgrimage cities such as Varanasi, Puri, and Gaya. This tour, called Shri Jagannath Yatra, is part of the Indian government’s “Dekho Apna Desh” initiative to promote domestic tourism and will cover notable pilgrimage and heritage sites in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Odisha.
Shri Jagannath Circuit Train Route
The 8-day IRCTC Jagannath Circuit Train tour begins in Varanasi, the ancient holy city, where tourists will visit the Kashi Vishwanath jyotirlinga temple, the Ganga ghat, and the Arti ceremony. The next stop is Jashidih Railway station in Jharkhand, where tourists will visit the Baidyanath dham Jyotirling temple.
Then, the train will proceed to Puri, where tourists will stay for two nights in hotels, visiting the Jagannath temple, Golden Puri beach, Sun temple at Konark and the temples of Bhubaneswar. The last destination on the tour is Gaya, where tourists will visit the Vishnupad temple. The train will return to Delhi on February 1st, 2023, the 8th day of the journey.
